Vice-Rector of Finance and Infrastructure
An actuary by training and a veteran administrator, Éric Filteau assumed his strategic functions in management at the Université de Montréal in 1998. Between 2003 and 2006 he served as Director of the pension plan division and then Assistant Executive Vice President, which led him to actively participate in overseeing major constructions projects on campus. From 2006 to 2010 he held the position of Assistant Vice Rector, Administration. In this role he assumed operational responsibility for administrative services and represented management in internal and external committees, including the budget committee.
A graduate of actuarial science from the University of Laval, Éric Filteau holds a Masters in Business Administration from McGill University. Before joining the Université de Montréal, he worked in the private sector with Domtar and Morneau Sobeco. He serves as an independent member on pension committees for various companies and is an associate of the Actuarial Society.
